Seven Springs, PA: A Family Mountain Retreat
When we lived in Pittsburgh, we had the pleasure of visiting Seven Springs many times, and it quickly became one of our favorite getaway spots. About an hour’s drive east of the city, nestled in the Laurel Highlands, Seven Springs is a place that offers both relaxation and adventure in every season.

Seven Springs may not be a big fancy resort, but it’s solid in every way. The lodge has a pool, a little arcade, and a few restaurants, offering plenty of fun and food for the whole family. One of our favorite winter activities was going sledding at a nearby area, especially since my kiddo wasn’t ready to learn to ski yet. In the summer, we loved to go hiking through the beautiful trails, enjoying the lush greenery in the spring, the changing fall leaves, and the snow-covered scenery in the winter.
The Seven Springs Lodge was always our go-to for a comfortable stay. We stayed in several different rentals over the years, and each one was perfect for our family. Whether we were staying in the lodge or a rental, it always felt like a home away from home. We even spent a few holiday meals at the lodge, including one Thanksgiving and one Easter — the meals were delicious and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Seven Springs is not only beautiful, but it’s also conveniently located near a few other wonderful attractions. A short drive away, you’ll find Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, two of the most stunning architectural landmarks in the region. Both are absolutely worth the visit, offering amazing views and a sense of wonder.=

Whether you’re seeking outdoor activities or a quiet retreat, Seven Springs offers a peaceful escape that’s perfect for families and nature lovers alike.
